Food Circles

The ‘food circle’ is our signature and entry level design. A food circle is a planting bed around a compost pit, based on a classic Permaculture pit bed design.

With a food circle, you can grow trees and vegetables using your grey water. With the water you have used to wash your vegetables, you can water your vegetables. With the water from the bucket shower, you can water your trees. The soapy water from washing dishes or clothes can go into the pit. Here you produce compost to improve your soil so that it can handle soap better.

We will come and log your food circle with satellite data and your trainer will come and support you regularly. We invite you to courses based on your location so that you can get to know your neighbours better and so that you can help each other out. If you have your food circle growing for a year, you become a member of our Star Club and you can come back regularly for knowledge, compost, seeds and motivation.
